Η ΔΟΜΟΚΑΤ ξεκίνησε τη δραστηριότητα της ως εμπορική επιχείρηση σε ένα κατάστημα εντός της πόλης των Σερρών από το 1983 και τα βασικότερα αντικείμενα του κύκλου εργασιών της ήταν οι μονώσεις και η ξηρά δόμηση.
Το 1998 μετέφερε την έδρα της στο σημερινό ιδιόκτητο κτίριο 1.800 τετραγωνικών μέτρων στο 2ο χιλιόμετρο Σερρών - Θεσσαλονίκης και επέκτεινε τη δραστηριότητα της και σε νέους τομείς καλύπτοντας όλες τις ανάγκες γύρω από τη νέα κατασκευή και την ανακαίνιση.
Το 2018 έγινε νέα επέκταση της εταιρείας με την αγορά 1.200 τετραγωνικών μέτρων στεγασμένου αποθηκευτικού χώρου και 10.500 τετραγωνικών μέτρων αύλειου αποθηκευτικού χώρου.
Η εταιρεία εισάγει και εμπορεύεται δομικά υλικά εξυπηρετώντας τις ανάγκες των πελατών της παραδίνοντας με τον ιδιόκτητο στόλο των φορτηγών της, γερανοφόρων και μη.
Αναλαμβάνει την παράδοση των υλικών τόσο σε μεγάλα δημόσια ή ιδιωτικά έργα, όσο και σε έργα που αφορούν στην ανακαίνιση και αναβάθμιση των κτιρίων. Η σύναψη νέων συνεργασιών με Έλληνες και ξένους παραγωγούς, ηγέτες στο χώρο των δομικών υλικών, καθώς και η ραγδαία αύξηση του κύκλου εργασιών, καθιστούν την εταιρεία στρατηγικό σημείο αναφοράς και την καθιερώνουν στον τομέα της κατασκευής.
